Lion Reborn Art Exhibit: Joshua Sin & Lark Pien
From August 25 – November 1, Lion Reborn invites you to explore the rich and layered history of one of China’s most beloved traditions: the lion dance. First, discover an educational exhibit diving into the martial arts roots of traditional Chinese lion dance. Then, immerse yourself in the work of local artists Joshua Sin and Lark Pien as you wander deeper into the garden. Through various mediums, these two artists interpret well-known Chinese cultural practices, philosophy, and symbols—from kung fu and qigong to relationships and spirituality. Come get inspired and see how these legends and traditions endure today!

East Portland Heart & Soul: A Community Press-In
East Portland Heart & Soul: A Community Press-In is a high-energy, multigenerational celebration designed to bring the "Maker" spirit to the heart of District 1. Hosted at the East Portland Community Center, this event invites neighbors of all ages to step up to professional heat presses and "wear their truth" by creating custom apparel on the spot.

The Big Portland Bake Show

A Beat Happening 9 Year Anniversary: Summer Frequencies Showcase
This free, all-ages event is hosted by Luvjonez and Free Tillman, and showcases BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists while featuring live performances, community partner tables, and multi-genre sounds spanning hip hop, dance, electronic, turntablism, and experimental music.

Portland Track Festival
